U4 Geography students challenge PM about employment inequalities

Y9 classmates have written to Theresa May to express their concerns about the imbalance in the UK workforce, as part of this term’s studies on economy.

The letters were the result of in-depth learning about ways of measuring and mapping development around the globe, as well as different employment sectors, particularly in Great Britain.

Director of Studies and Head of Geography Mrs Burke said:  “The class was taken aback by the stark contrasts, not only between different countries, but also in the country where they live and will one day work.

“Penning their concerns and opinions to the Prime Minister herself is the perfect way for the students to express their views and enrich their research.”
