Gad’s runners represent school on chilly cross country course

Twelve Seniors braved the wind and rain to take part in a regional cross country event – and four finished in top ten positions.

Boys and girls from years seven to 11 raced between 2,000-4,500m at the ISA (Independent Schools Association) London/South East regional event in Shoreham, West Sussex.

Head of PE Mrs Gunnill said:  “To race any distance is a challenge but to do so out-of-county in adverse weather conditions is commendable.

“Our runners competed against nine other schools and did so with confidence and determination, to achieve some very good results.”

Four of the Gad’s squad qualified for a place in the national team.
