Gad’s Kindergarten classes take to the stage to tell the Christmas story

Marching soldiers, singing shepherds and twinkling stars joined Mary and Joseph on stage at the Gad’s Kindergarten nativity performance this year.

All our Reception and Years one and two pupils played a part in the festive production, to a packed audience of proud parents and friends.

Children as young as five narrated the Christmas story and performed solos, with the whole cast joining-in to sing festive favourites and modern melodies, complete with actions.

Headmaster David Craggs said: “As always, we have been treated to a heart-warming and impressive nativity, made extra special by how young the students are.

“They have been learning lines and practising moves at home and school and I would like to thank the parents and teachers for their enthusiasm, commitment and support.

After the children received rapturous applause and a standing ovation from the crowd, Mr Craggs went on to present commendation certificates to several students to acknowledge their hard work during the academic term.

He then invited parents and friends to join staff and the performers for refreshments, after a rendition of ‘We Wish you a Merry Christmas’ from the children.
