Outdoor pursuits for cadets at field days

Our Combined Cadet Force contingent was mentored and challenged by regular army soldiers at this year’s field days at Lodge Hill training area.

Gad’s cadets and staff were joined by members of Royal School of Military Engineers at the annual two day event where cadets hone the skills they have learned at school and try new activities.

A packed itinerary saw every cadet try their hand at archery, quad biking, rock wall climbing, zorbing and paintballing.

Lt Godding said, “Field days are a fantastic opportunity for our cadets to have a go at all kinds of adventure training.

“By combining knowledge from the school’s CCF syllabus with the practical skills they learn during training days like these the cadets continue to demonstrate the importance of effort and team work.”
