Science and history trip to Amsterdam was out of this world

Our L4 and U4 students learned about Earth observation and human spaceflight at the European Space Research and Technology Centre during a field trip to Amsterdam last weekend.

In the Netherlands for four days, as part of their science and history studies, the classmates visit to the largest of the European Space Agency’s sites was just one of many activities they took part in.

They spent a day at Amsterdam Arena, the country’s largest stadium and home of football club AFC Ajax, where they saw its impressive retractable roof, complete with grass surface.

The trip was completed with a boat tour of central Amsterdam and some relaxation time in the coastal town of Noordwijk.
